The Blood of Dawnwalker · Endings Guide

All 7 Endings Explained

Coen's fight to save his family can end seven different ways, and most of them hinge on one deadline: whether you take down the Vrakhiri Court within 30 days. Here's every ending, what triggers it, and how to see all of them without replaying the whole game.

Heavy spoilers below. This page covers every ending outcome, including who lives, who you side with, and how the final quest branches. If you haven't finished the game, bookmark this and come back after the credits roll.
This guide reflects what's known shortly after launch (September 3, 2026), compiled from early playthroughs and community reporting. Exact trigger conditions may be refined as more of the game is explored.

The shape of the branching

Three of the seven endings can end your playthrough early, no matter how far you've gotten in the main story. The other four all sit behind the same gate — defeating every member of the Vrakhiri Court within 30 in-game days — and only differ in how you finish off Brencis once you get there.

Time Runs Out 30 days pass without beating the Court NO TROPHY A Hero They Deserve Leave the valley for good, at night BRONZE TROPHY Together Forever Stay trapped in the Silts Tower dream BRONZE TROPHY

Three ways the story can end early — available regardless of story progress

Defeat the Vrakhiri Court within 30 days pick a side Folk Hero Fight Brencis alone SILVER The Patricide Fight Brencis with Lacra SILVER Knyazmaker Fight Brencis with Crake & Manumit SILVER The Turncoat Take Brencis's deal, betray your allies SILVER

The main path — beat the Court in time, then choose how the final fight goes

The three "victory" endings

All three require clearing every Vrakhiri Court member within the 30-day limit, then finishing that ally's full questline before the final confrontation.

Folk Hero Silver

Confront Brencis alone, without Lacra or Crake backing you up — choose "Enough. Time to End this." at the final dialogue. You can also reach this ending early by infiltrating the castle right after the prologue, via a night-time wall climb or the side entrance.

The Patricide Silver

Complete Lacra's full questline — A Friend Like This, Song of the Mountain, Hive and Seek, Our Rotten Roots, and Midnight Reckoning — then fight Brencis with her at your side.

Knyazmaker Silver

Complete Crake's full Manumit questline (starting with The Firebrand, running through Rise at Dawn) and take down Brencis with Crake and the Manumit faction backing the assault.

The Turncoat — the betrayal ending

The Turncoat Silver

Also gated behind clearing the Court in time, but instead of fighting Brencis you take his deal during "A Deal with the Devil": choose "I just want my family back," confirm "I'll do it," then give up the Manumit hideout's location. You get your family back — at the cost of everyone who trusted you.

The three early endings

These don't require finishing the main questline — two are deliberate "give up" paths, one is a failure state.

A Hero They Deserve Bronze

Available as early as right after the prologue. At night, use Planeshift and Shadowstep to cross a broken bridge in Briar Sloughs, west of Coward's Path Shrine, and choose to leave Vale Sangora for good.

Together Forever Bronze

During the "Home Sweet Home" quest at Silts Tower, loop through the dream sequence — clearing enemies each cycle — four times, then choose to stay with your family instead of waking up on the fifth.

Time Runs Out No Trophy

If more than 30 in-game days pass after the prologue without clearing the Vrakhiri Court, Brencis kills Coen's family and the story pivots to revenge instead of rescue. It's a real ending, not a game over — but it has no associated trophy.

How to see all 7 endings in one playthrough

  1. Play through and defeat all three Vrakhiri Court members within the 30-day window.
  2. Right before triggering the final confrontation, make a dedicated manual save.
  3. Play out one ending — Folk Hero, The Patricide, Knyazmaker, or The Turncoat.
  4. Reload that manual save and pick a different path. Repeat until you've seen all four.
  5. For A Hero They Deserve and Together Forever, use a separate earlier save, since both are reachable well before the endgame and don't require finishing the Court fight at all.

Practical takeaway: if you want the "full" story experience, clear the Vrakhiri Court inside 30 days and save before the final quest — that one save unlocks four of the seven endings on its own, without a second full playthrough.

Frequently asked questions

How many endings does the game have?
Seven — three victory endings (Folk Hero, The Patricide, Knyazmaker), one betrayal ending (The Turncoat), and three early/bad endings (A Hero They Deserve, Together Forever, Time Runs Out).

Can I see all 7 in one playthrough?
Yes — save manually after clearing the Vrakhiri Court but before the final quest, then reload and choose differently each time to cycle through the four late-game endings.

What happens if I run out of time?
Passing 30 in-game days after the prologue without beating the Court triggers Time Runs Out — the family is killed and the story shifts to revenge. No trophy is tied to it.
